Images, text, and other static information are great, but video can really “spice up” your signage screens. Here, we show how easy it is to add video to a LoopSign screen.
1 Open the screen editor for the desired screen. Click on the screen area where you want to add the video, click “Add” on the right side of the timeline, and select “Video” from the menu that appears.
Please noteVideos are played without sound by default in LoopSign, so this must be activated in the widget’s settings if needed. Sound works with Samsung’s Tizen-based screens and with the Raspberry Pi external player.
2 If the video you want to display is available on YouTube, you can simply paste the URL of the video into the video widget settings. The video will be displayed without ads on the LoopSign screen.
3 If you have a video file in MP4, WEBM, or MOV format, you can set this as the video type and play the video from the Media Bank in LoopSign. You upload and add a video file to the screen in the same way as with images.
4 Remember to click “Save” at the end to keep the changes you made. The changes will manifest on the connected physical screen(s) within 15 minutes.
